Women's Ministry - WCG

The Women’s Ministry of FCOG – WCG continue to assists financially and render their services to bereaved families, individual sisters in need, support street ministries, visit and send cards to the sick and shut-in, make Christmas baskets for the needy, as well as supporting some of the Community outreach programs.

In the year 2008 the women of FCOG, had something planed for them to meet together every month.  Whether it was a meeting to discuss important matters or going to a retreat or other engagements that allow them to fellowship with one another.  In the month of January the women set attended the “Show Yourself Friendly” Women’s Retreat at the Radisson Hotel in Merrillville, IN.  The retreat will be done again next year in the month of January.  In April of 2008 the women set out to the “2008 Spring Convention” in LaPaz, IN.  It will be held during the same month next year.  Last year’s annual Women’s Day Weekend was on May 24-25, 2008.  The Theme was “Be Ready When He Comes.”  The luncheon was held on Saturday May 24, 2008 at the Patrician Banquet Facility in Shererville, IN., where the “Ten Brides of Christ Musical” was performed.  The speaker of the Sunday worship service was Rev. Arnetta Salazar.  We celebrate women’s weekend annually in May.  The NWCG Convention was held on October 16-19, 2008 in Grand Rapids, MI., at the Amway Hotel.  The 2009 National Association -WCG Convention will convene jointly during the 2009 Joint Convention in December.  Our Christmas fellowship is usually held here at church.  Special Christmas care packages are distributed to our shut-ins. 

Our continue mission is to serve, encourage, support and fellowship with our sisters, especially our younger sisters.
