Our ministerial staff consists of ordained and called ministers of God, ranging from age twenties through eighties, both being male and female. Each minister is gifted of God and being used. They serve as Sunday School teachers, Deliverance Ministry, Care Ministry, and the Prophetic Ministry. As the spiritual leaders of First Church of God, here in Gary, do feel the move of God in our mist. The preaching and the worship experience has move to another level. We are open to the move of the Holy Spirit and willing to do and go where He leads. The Holy Spirit is showing Him Self mighty and power in our teaching sessions on Tuesday night.

As pastor I want to thank all my ministers that I work with in this fellowship for their willingness to work together. When necessary we, the Ministers and I will meet to see that we are on track with what God is saying for this Church. Training is necessary. Our covering, Inter-National Church of God, Anderson IN and the NACOG - National Association of Church of God, West Middlesex, PA has an annual meeting, Leader Summit, in March that offers excellent resources to enhance our Minister's development. I purpose that our Church support these opportunities. There will be other training sessions for us to take advantage of like ISTI-In-Service Training Institute in Anderson. As we do the work of the church, we will work closely with the Deacons, who are undergoing extensive training, to care for the spiritual needs of our congregation and community.

I pray as First Church Family's Pastor that we will always be open to the will and the way of God. God is our helper, Jesus is our example, and the Holy Spirit is our driving force. First Church can be, will be the light that sits upon the hill that cannot be hidden. Our desire is that you follow us, as we follow Christ. It is all about pleasing Him.
